Woods' Mission

Woods Services is a private, non-profit organization that is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The primary goal is to maximize each individual's potential while ensuring a high quality of life. Within this context, Woods facilitates the acquisition and development of skills that will help its clients enjoy full and rewarding lives.

A Unique Setting

School-age children and adults come to Woods Services from more than 27 states and many of them describe Woods as a "home away from home." Its picturesque campus spans 300 acres in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, a Bucks County suburb of Philadelphia. The serenity and beauty of the campus play an integral role in fulfilling the therapeutic needs of the people who live at Woods.

Most residents live in homes on campus or in local neighborhoods. All residences on our campus and in the community offer the same comfortable surroundings found in typical family homes.

An extensive range of residential programs allows clients the support of an environment that best meets their individual needs. All residences are staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week by competent, caring professionals. Full-time, residential enrollment stands at more than 700 people who live in 69 separate homes on Woods' Langhorne campus or in local neighborhoods. An additional 120 adults live in supervised homes that are part of the Brian's House program in Chester and Delaware counties. Other individuals are served through a variety of day services that include education, vocational training and placement, and camping experiences.
