Woods' Management
Many members of Woods' senior management team have a long career with Woods and have helped build it into the diverse organization it is today. They include:
Robert G. Griffith, Ed.D., President and Chief Executive Officer –
Dr. Griffith earned an Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Special Education Administration at Syracuse University. He received an MA in Special Education for the Mentally Retarded from Fairfield University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He has served as President/CEO of Woods since 1986 and has more than 30 years professional experience working in programs that serve people with exceptional needs.
John M. McHale, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer –
Mr. McHale earned an MS degree at Villanova University and a BS degree from St. Joseph 's University in Pennsylvania. His background includes eight years of classroom teaching and educational administration and more than 20 years of Human Resources Management and Administration. He joined Woods Services in 1990.
Scott Spreat, Ed.D., Vice President, Behavioral Health –
Dr. Spreat received a BS degree in Psychology from Dickinson College, a Masters from Shippensburg University and a Doctorate from Temple University. He served as Woods' Administrator of Clinical Services for eight years before becoming Executive Director of the Woodlands Program. He was promoted to his current position in October 2005 and is responsible for oversight of the Woodlands Program, psychiatry, and related clinical services.
Joseph M. Zakrzewski, CPA, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer –
Mr. Zakrzewski received a BS degree in Accounting from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He has been in his current position at Woods Services since late 1996 and is administratively responsible for accounting, purchasing, and information systems. He has more than 20 years of top financial and administrative experience within a variety of non-profit organizations.
