The Kresge Challenge

Following a rigorous review process, the Woods Services Foundation has been awarded a challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation. The grant will support the construction of Woods’ new Medical, Dental, and Employee Training Center, the capital component of The Campaign for Woods’ Second Century.

Based on campaign progress as of August 2007, Kresge’s “all or nothing challenge” requires Woods to raise an additional $2,500,000 by December 31, 2008 in order to receive the $415,000 challenge grant. To date, the campaign has surpassed its fundraising goals, as well as all expectations, in support of the new construction and endowment resources.

A Prestigious Achievement
A Kresge challenge grant is one of the most coveted grants in fundraising. These grants are used to help complete the funding for construction projects, but more importantly, to help institutions build their fundraising capacity. This is a prestigious achievement for Woods and is a strong endorsement of its mission, the people it serves, and its highly dedicated and caring staff.
