Campaign Progress

An amazing thing happened on Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Momentum has been building at Woods as the organization conducted a quiet phase of the most ambitious campaign in its history. During events this past weekend, we announced that we have achieved 123% of our original target…in excess of $7.9 million dollars!

This is unprecedented success for Woods, and bodes well as we move into the public phase of The Campaign for Woods’ Second Century. “Our cause is good, our case is sound, and those who know us best have stepped forward to support Woods at unprecedented levels,” said Mary Faulkner, Family Campaign Co-Chair at Woods’ annual President’s Dinner. “We are taking this campaign public having already achieved heights many would never have imagined.”

As we have reached out to those who know us best, we have found new friends along the way. Major support in the form of a challenge grant by the Kresge Foundation creates opportunities for maximizing the impact of each gift we receive. Of the $2.5 million that Kresge challenged us to raise, we still need $515,000 by December 31, 2008.
